This particular species of kelp, Ascophyllum nodosum, improves mouth health through it's natural anti-adhesive, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. When used regularly, Simply Seaweed can help prevent bacteria from sticking to the tooth enamel, reduce tartar buildup and loosen existing plaque.
Kelp is also a superfood for dogs and cats - containing an abundance of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants.
PRODUCT REVIEW by Kelly Davidson, owner of Raw Health 4 Dogs & The Curious Dog:
After about 4 weeks of adding 1 or 2 pinches of Simply Seaweed to our dogs' meals every day, we have noticed our 8 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's teeth have started to become cleaner. The plaque has slowly started to reduce and her teeth are gradually showing more white. This is a dog who typically needs a dental clean every 18 months to 2 years, despite eating a raw diet with added bones for chewing. We are super pleased to see that Simply Seaweed can have such a noticeable effect in a short time, and will hopefully mean we can extend the length of time between veterinary dentals. It couldn't be any easier either - just a pinch on top of her meal each night.
